为了迎接上海世博会的来临和预热2010年意大利中国文化年，以加深中意文化交流，来自意大利的国际表演艺术团GEN ROSSO将在北京、上海、天津和扬州四大城市作巡回演出。
GEN ROSSO将于7月25日在巡回演出的第一站上海奉上音乐剧“街灯”，传播“四海之内皆兄弟”的理想，为意大利和中国的友谊增光添彩，此次活动是与意大利驻上海总领事馆文化处携手合作。
音乐剧“街灯”以真人真事为题材，讲述了一位青年的故事，他在爱的感染下，洗心革面，步入正轨，最终为坚持正义献出了生命。这个故事足以启示现代年轻人对生命价值的重新思考。
今年GEN ROSSO也应邀在天津举行的“国际儿童文化艺术节”中演出，在这紧张四溢的今天，这对教育孩子友谊及和平的价值观来说无疑是一次弥足珍贵的机会。
红新青表演艺术团GEN ROSSO由来自10个不同国家的杰出艺术家组成，他们以建设种族和文化之间的合一共融为目标，并通过音乐和表演的方式来传达和平与爱的讯息。
为了实现这一目标，他们已走遍了世界各大洲五十多个国家，过去一年他们出访了波兰、罗马尼亚、匈牙利、捷克斯洛伐克等东欧国家，甚至也到访了墨西哥，肯尼亚，布隆迪，摩洛哥和古巴等国家，现在更第三次来到中国。他们的身影既活跃在大型体育馆和著名剧院，又在学校、监狱和贫民窟等各种社会环境中出现。
早在2004和2006年GEN ROSSO来华演出时，观众即被他们所传播的友谊和爱所感动，同时为他们丰富多元的艺术表演形式所吸引。在场的观众都强烈盼望GEN ROSSO有朝一日能重回中国进行全国巡回演出。
终于三年后的今天，GEN ROSSO又来到了中国，继续为中国及世界其它地区的和平及友谊做出意义深远的贡献。

A story on friendship and universal brotherhood
Gen Rosso will stage a 10 days four cities China Tour in Beijing, Shanghai, Tianjin and Yangzhou with the musical “Streetlight” to warm up for the China-Italy Cultural Year 2010 and the Shanghai World Expo.
The International Performing Arts Group from Italy will kick off its China Tour in Shanghai featuring a modern musical entitled “Streetlight” on the 25th of July at Three on the Bund in association with the Italian Institute of Culture - Shanghai section.
The musical “Streetlight” is based on a true life story of a young man whose encounter with the message of love and universal brotherhood changed his life and the coherence with his choice cost him his life: A modern day hero whose life the youth today can identify with.
Gen Rosso has been invited for the third time around to perform in the Tianjin International Youth and Children’s Culture and Art Festival.
Gen Rosso is composed of artists from 10 different nationalities, who share the spirit of peace, love and unity through their music and performance in a universal art form which goes beyond every barrier.
The group has been touring the world in over 50 countries in the five continents staging concerts with success in huge sports stadiums, famous concert halls, as well as in schools, prisons and slums and other similar environments, in order to reach the whole spectrum of society.
Adding to its world tour itinerary, last year Gen Rosso has performed in Poland, Romania, Hungary, Czechoslovakia, Mexico, Kenya, Burundi, Marocco and Cuba.
In the first two visit of Gen Rosso to China in 2004 and 2006, the public was fascinated by the universal message of love and friendship that the Chinese audience shared and was very impressed by the rich and multi-cultural art form.
The next natural question on the lips of those present: When will Gen Rosso come back to stage a China tour in different cites of China？
Hence, Gen Rosso is in China again for the third time around in the hope to give a meaningful contribution to the campaign for peace and solidarity in China and in the whole world.
