La creazione del Mondo è stata oggetto di molte teorie. Ma la creazione in sé è l’atto di una volontà suprema, che trascende le leggi dell’Universo come noi le conosciamo: è l’atto di generare qualcosa dal nulla; la luce dalle tenebre, la vita dalla morte.
La scienza contemporanea, dopo essersi persa in mille dibattiti intricati, si arresta proprio al principio. Ci deve essere Qualcuno prima di ogni altra cosa. L’Uno ha creato il Due, e ha permesso che diventasse Tre, e Quattro, e così via fino all’infinito. L’Uno ha creato i numeri e le dimensioni ha concesso il dono della creazione a pochissime fra le sue creature: i poeti, gli artisti, gli amanti.
Queste tre categorie sono tre differenti manifestazioni della stessa forza d’amore.
L’atto di creare Due da Uno e Tre da Due, è uno specchio di questa facoltà divina. Giovanna Giannakoulas trasforma un piano a due dimensioni in uno spazio a tre dimensioni, e lo fa con la rapidità della creazione, con pochi sapienti tagli delle sue lucenti forbici. Quella che era una superficie grigia, piatta, opaca ora diventa un nuovo universo, contenuto tra le quinte di un piccolo teatro, un simbolo potente del palcoscenico del mondo dove tutti noi, come disse Pirandello, dobbiamo recitare la nostra parte.
Di fronte a me ho in questo momento uno di questi aerei teatri di G.C.. la luce del giorno penetra gli anfratti della carta e suggerisce alla mia immaginazione le montagne più inaccessibili, le più verdi vallate, gli oceani più profondi dove la navicella della mia esistenza dovrà forse lottare con altre tempeste prima di raggiungere le stelle.

RispondiEliminaThere are many theories about the creation of the world. Creation in itself is an act of supreme will, which transcends the laws of the universe as we know them: to generate something from nothing, light from darkness, life from death.
Contemporary science, stirred among intricated debates, ends at the very beginning. There ought to be Someone before anything else. Some-One has created two, and let it to be three, and four, until the infinite. And the One who has created the numbers and the dimensions has bestowed the gift of creation to a few amongst its own creatures: the poets, the artists, the lovers.
These three categories are different manifestations of the same love force.
The act of creating two from one and three from two is a mirror of this divine faculty. G.G. transforms a dual-dimension vision into a three-dimension space, and she does it with the speed of the creation, with few strokes of her shiny scissors. What was before a dark, flat, dull surface now becomes a new universe, restricted into the wings of a small theater, a powerful symbol of the worldly stage where all of us, as Pirandello said, have to recite our daily script.
I have now, in front of my eyes, one of those aerial theaters of G.G.. The light from the day penetrates the enclosures of the paper and suggests to my imagination the most inaccessible mountains, the greenest valleys, the deepest oceans, where the boat of my existence may have to struggle with many other storms, before reaching the stars.
